Minimal Invasive Urologic Surgery for BPH
The Polish-German Urologic Department within the HCP Medical Centre offers minimal invasive BPH operations. This transurethral procedure is laser-supported and thus minimally invasive (bloodless). After a transurethral laser resection of prostate the patient has a low risk of impotence and incontinence.

The operating method

14 years ago a special prostate operating technique was invented in Germany. It combines a laser coagulation (done with the unique laser cystoscope) with a classical transurethral resection of prostate (TURP). Such a combined laser/TURP operation is completely bloodless and has no typical TUR side effects.

The bloodless character of both operations is a very important factor. It has to be taken into consideration that most prostate patients have also cardiologic diseases. In many cases their general health condition does not allow them to undergo an invasive operation.

It is the operating method which:

  • is totally bloodless,
  • can be performed on out-patients,
  • causes no TURP side effects (TUR syndrome),
  • contains little risk of impotence or/and incontinence,
  • generates valid material for histopathologic analysis.
